It has spurred economic growth by creating job opportunities in industries such as manufacturing, construction, and services. As a result, the standard of living in these areas has improved, with people having access to better education, healthcare, and infrastructure. Furthermore, the influx of urban amenities, such as shopping malls, restaurants, and entertainment centers, has enriched the cultural life of rural communities.

However, there are also several negative impacts of urbanization on rural areas. The most apparent is the loss of agricultural land due to the expansion of cities, which in turn affects food production and security. Additionally, rapid urbanization has led to environmental degradation, such as deforestation and pollution, resulting in a decline in biodiversity and an increase in greenhouse gas emissions.
