For example, indigenous languages such as Maori and Samoan have seen an increase in speakers due to their integration into global culture through music, film, and literature.
On the other hand, cultural globalization has also led to a decline in the number of people speaking indigenous languages. As globalization spreads, English, in particular, has become the dominant language, overshadowing many smaller, indigenous languages.
