However, it is essential to examine the impact of this approach on soil health.

Industrial agriculture has several negative consequences on soil health. One significant impact is the depletion of soil fertility due to the overuse of chemical fertilizers. These fertilizers contain high levels of nitrogen and phosphorus, which can cause nutrient imbalances in the soil and lead to a reduction in soil fertility over time. Additionally, excessive use of these chemicals can result in groundwater contamination and water pollution, affecting ecosystems and human health.

Another crucial issue is soil compaction, which occurs when heavy machinery is repeatedly used on fields without proper rotation.
