This would help reduce social inequality by ensuring that everyone has an equal opportunity to access education, employment opportunities and essential services without being burdened by high transport costs. Additionally, free public transportation could lead to a decrease in traffic congestion as more people are encouraged to use the bus or train instead of their personal vehicles. This would have a positive impact on air quality and overall environmental health.
