On one hand, urbanization can help preserve certain aspects of rural culture by raising awareness and promoting them to a wider audience. As people move to cities, they bring their traditional customs, art, and cuisine with them, which in turn introduces these elements to the urban population. This exposure can contribute to the preservation of rural traditions, as individuals from different backgrounds become more familiar with and appreciative of these practices. For example, the introduction of Indian curry dishes into the UK's culinary scene has not only added variety but also helped maintain the cultural identity of the Indian community.

On the other hand, urbanization can also lead to a gradual erosion of rural traditions as people assimilate into city life and adopt modern practices. As technology and globalization continue to reshape societies, traditional customs may become less relevant in an increasingly interconnected world.
