In this essay, I will explore both perspectives and present my own view on whether society is becoming more or less resistant to change.

On one hand, it can be argued that society is indeed becoming less resistant to change. The rise of social media and the internet has exposed people to a wealth of new ideas, perspectives, and cultures, fostering a greater willingness to accept and adapt to change. Additionally, globalization has led to increased interconnectedness among nations and peoples, breaking down cultural barriers and promoting the exchange of knowledge and best practices. In some cases, this openness to change has resulted in positive outcomes, such as advancements in science, technology, and social progress.

However, there are also strong arguments that society is becoming more resistant to change. For instance, conservative ideologies and traditional values continue to hold significant influence in many societies, causing resistance to new ideas that challenge long-held beliefs and customs. Furthermore, the fear of losing one's identity or way of life often leads to opposition to change, particularly among older generations. This can manifest itself in reluctance to adopt new technologies or embrace multiculturalism, resulting in a more closed and insular society.

In my opinion, while it is true that certain aspects of society have become less resistant to change due to factors such as globalization and increased connectivity, it is also important to recognize the ongoing presence of conservatism, fear, and attachment to tradition. Ultimately, whether society becomes more or less resistant to change depends on a complex interplay of social, economic, and political factors that are difficult to predict with certainty.
