On one hand, it can be argued that technology has created a multitude of job opportunities. For instance, the rise of the internet and digital platforms has led to the creation of new industries, such as social media management, web development, and online marketing. Additionally, advancements in artificial intelligence and automation have resulted in new roles in fields like data analysis and robotics engineering. These developments have not only generated employment opportunities but have also spurred economic growth by facilitating global trade and communication.

On the other hand, there are those who contend that technology is primarily responsible for reducing job opportunities. This assertion is largely due to the increasing trend of automation in various industries. Machines and artificial intelligence can now perform tasks previously carried out by human workers, such as customer service, data entry, and manufacturing. As a result, many jobs have become obsolete or require significant reskilling, leading to unemployment and underemployment.
