On one hand, technology has indeed provided numerous tools that threaten personal privacy. The rise in social media platforms has allowed individuals to share their thoughts and experiences with the world at large. While this may seem like an innocent activity, it is important to recognize that every piece of information shared online leaves a digital footprint that can be accessed by others, including cybercriminals. Furthermore, the advent of surveillance technology, such as facial recognition software and GPS tracking systems, has made it increasingly difficult for people to remain anonymous in public spaces.

On the other hand, advancements in technology have also contributed to the enhancement of personal privacy. Encryption and secure messaging apps, like WhatsApp or Signal, enable users to communicate confidentially with others without fearing that their messages will be intercepted by unauthorized parties. Additionally, virtual private networks (VPNs) allow individuals to browse the internet anonymously and shield their online activities from prying eyes.
