Firstly, bullying and harassment can lead to an increase in aggressive behaviours and a decline in social skills among students. This is primarily due to the creation of a fearful and hostile environment where students feel threatened and unsafe. Such an atmosphere fosters retaliation and further incidents of bullying, thereby creating a vicious cycle of violence. Moreover, this climate can also lead to the development of defensive mechanisms such as withdrawal or aggression in victims, which may hinder their ability to form healthy relationships with peers and teachers.
