This essay will examine both perspectives in order to determine whether technology is enhancing or diminishing personal privacy.

On one hand, there are several ways in which technology has enhanced personal privacy. For instance, encryption and secure communication tools, such as VPNs and end-to-end encryption, have been developed to protect sensitive information from being intercepted by third parties. Additionally, advanced security features on smartphones and other devices allow users to control who has access to their personal data. Furthermore, digital platforms often provide privacy settings that enable individuals to limit the amount of information they share with others online. As a result, these technological advancements have contributed to increased control over one's own privacy.

On the other hand, there are several ways in which technology may be diminishing personal privacy.
