The primary reason why some people support increased government regulation is the need for maintaining social order and protecting individual rights. For instance, in the field of healthcare, regulations such as mandatory vaccinations and food safety standards ensure that products are safe for public consumption. These measures can prevent outbreaks of diseases and protect vulnerable populations, such as children and the elderly. Moreover, government intervention in areas like environmental protection is vital to safeguard the natural environment and promote sustainable practices.
