In this essay, I will discuss the main contributions of NGOs to solving social problems, focusing on their effectiveness in bringing about meaningful change.

Firstly, NGOs contribute significantly to the solution of social problems by providing essential services that governments may not be able to deliver or prioritize. For example, Oxfam International is an international NGO that focuses on poverty alleviation and has helped millions of people in developing countries gain access to education, healthcare, and clean water. These organizations often have local knowledge and understanding of the specific needs of communities, enabling them to tailor their services more effectively than large-scale government programs.

Secondly, NGOs raise awareness about social issues that may otherwise go unnoticed by mainstream media or the general public. Amnesty International, for instance, has been successful in highlighting human rights abuses and advocating for change through its global campaigns and investigative research.
