On one hand, proponents of social cohesion argue that it plays a pivotal role in fostering harmony among diverse groups. They believe that when people from different cultural backgrounds interact with each other, they can learn to appreciate their differences and celebrate their similarities. This mutual understanding helps to create an environment where everyone feels accepted and respected, ultimately leading to a peaceful coexistence.

On the other hand, some argue that social cohesion may not be as necessary in multicultural societies. They contend that people can live side by side with those from different cultures without necessarily forming strong bonds. In such cases, individuals might focus on their own personal goals and aspirations rather than trying to establish connections with others.

In my opinion, social cohesion is indeed essential for a successful multicultural society.
