Additionally, wealthier members of society are often able to invest in new businesses or fund research and development projects, thereby stimulating economic growth and creating job opportunities for others.

However, the negative consequences of income inequality far outweigh its potential benefits. Societies with high levels of income disparity often experience increased crime rates, as those who feel marginalized may resort to criminal activities in order to survive.
