On one hand, it can be argued that climate change is a significant existential threat due to its ability to exacerbate existing problems and create new challenges. For example, rising sea levels caused by melting ice caps and glaciers could lead to the loss of coastal cities and infrastructure, displacing millions of people and causing widespread economic upheaval.
