Social media platforms such as Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram allow us to share our thoughts, experiences, and emotions instantly with a vast network of friends, relatives, and acquaintances. Additionally, video conferencing tools like Zoom and Skype have made it possible for people to stay in touch regardless of their geographical location. These tools not only facilitate communication but also help in the formation of new relationships across national borders.

Furthermore, technology has broken down barriers that previously limited our social interactions. For instance, online dating apps like Tinder and Bumble have made it easier for people to find potential romantic partners, while virtual reality games and chat rooms provide a platform for people with similar interests to connect and form lasting friendships.

On the other hand, critics argue that technology has inadvertently led to a decline in face-to-face social interactions. The constant use of smartphones, laptops, and tablets has resulted in a phenomenon known as "phubbing," where people prioritize their devices over their loved ones during conversations. This can lead to feelings of isolation and loneliness, thereby reducing the overall quality of our social connections.

Moreover, technology has given rise to cyberbullying, trolling, and the spread of fake news, which can have a detrimental impact on interpersonal relationships.
