Furthermore, implementing policies such as feed-in tariffs, which pay consumers for the excess power they generate from renewable sources, can help create a more attractive market for these alternatives. In addition, governments can also promote research and development in this field by allocating funding towards academic institutions and private companies that focus on innovation in renewable energy solutions.

On the other hand, some critics argue that providing incentives may not be necessary if the benefits of renewable energy are self-evident.
