Intensive farming requires the excessive use of fertilizers and pesticides, which can lead to soil contamination, water pollution, and loss of biodiversity. Monoculture, or the cultivation of a single crop over large areas, has also been linked to the decline in soil health and increased vulnerability to pests and diseases.

Moreover, deforestation for agricultural expansion is another major concern. The removal of trees exacerbates the effects of climate change by reducing carbon sequestration and increasing greenhouse gas emissions. Efforts should be made to implement sustainable agricultural practices and promote environmental conservation in all sectors of society. By doing so, we can mitigate the harmful effects of agriculture on the environment and ensure a more sustainable future for our planet.
