In this essay, I will analyze both sides of this argument, and then present my own conclusion.
On one hand, it can be argued that society is becoming more tolerant of dissenting opinions due to the rise of social media and globalization. Social media platforms such as Twitter, Facebook, and Instagram allow people from all around the world to express their views and engage in conversations with others who may hold different perspectives. This has led to increased awareness of diverse viewpoints, fostering a greater appreciation for the importance of open dialogue and critical thinking. Additionally, globalization has facilitated the exchange of ideas and cultures, resulting in societies that are more multicultural and accepting of different beliefs and practices.
On the other hand, it can also be argued that society is becoming less tolerant of dissenting opinions.
