The primary advantage of offering universal access to public transportation lies in its ability to reduce traffic congestion and alleviate the strain on existing road networks. As more people use buses, trains, trams, etc., there will be less pressure on roads and highways, leading to smoother commutes for all drivers. Furthermore, widespread access to public transportation would contribute significantly to lowering carbon emissions by reducing the number of private vehicles on the road.
