This essay will explore both sides of the argument before presenting a personal opinion.

On one hand, it can be argued that focusing on reducing carbon emissions from transportation is crucial for maintaining a healthy environment. The transport sector is responsible for around 15% of global greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions, and this percentage is expected to increase as urbanization progresses. Moreover, the use of fossil fuels in transportation contributes significantly to air pollution, which has been linked to respiratory diseases, heart conditions, and premature deaths. Furthermore, the transport sector's reliance on fossil fuels makes it vulnerable to fluctuations in oil prices, leading to economic instability.

On the other hand, some people claim that focusing on other sources of pollution is more important.
