While some believe that people are increasingly resistant to change due to the uncertainty it brings, others argue that advancements in technology and globalization have made societies more open to new ideas and adaptations. In this essay, I will discuss both perspectives before presenting my own viewpoint.

On one hand, it can be argued that society is becoming more resistant to change as people are often reluctant to embrace novelty due to its unpredictability. For instance, the rise of social media platforms has led to a backlash against technology, with many people expressing concerns about privacy and mental health issues. Additionally, political polarization and nationalism have created a divide among societies, making it difficult for individuals to accept change that challenges their established beliefs and norms.

On the other hand, there are those who believe that society is becoming less resistant to change due to the increasing interconnectedness of our world. The rapid spread of information through the internet and advancements in transportation have exposed people to a wide range of cultures and ideas, leading to an openness towards new experiences. Moreover, the need for innovation and progress to address global challenges such as climate change and economic inequality has encouraged societies to embrace change proactively.

In my view, while it is true that there are factors contributing to greater resistance to change, overall, society is becoming less resistant. The pace of technological advancements and the interconnectedness of our world have created an environment where change is inevitable. While some people may be resistant to specific changes due to personal or societal reasons, the collective push towards innovation and progress will ultimately lead us to become more adaptable and open to new experiences.

In conclusion, while there are valid arguments for both views on whether society is becoming more or less resistant to change, it is essential to recognize the importance of embracing change in order to address global challenges and continue progressing as a collective whole.
