On one hand, it can be argued that society is becoming less supportive of government regulation due to increasing skepticism towards the role and effectiveness of governments in contemporary times. The rise of populist movements around the world has led to a decline in trust in traditional institutions, including the government. Additionally, the advancement of technology has given individuals greater power to mobilize and express their opinions on various issues, leading to increased resistance against what is perceived as overreach by the government. On the other hand, it can also be argued that society is becoming more supportive of government regulation.
