They argue that these established practices have proven effective in resolving issues over time, and therefore should not be abandoned in favor of untested innovations. For example, implementing stricter laws against pollution may result in a significant reduction in environmental damage, whereas a new, innovative approach to the same problem might not have the desired impact.
