On the other hand, it has also led to a decline in the use of lesser-known languages and dialects, contributing to a loss of linguistic diversity.

The most apparent impact of globalization on language diversity is the rise in importance of English as a global language. With the expansion of trade, travel, and media, English has become the primary medium for communication in many areas, such as business, academia, and technology. This has led to an increased demand for English language skills, which in turn has prompted people around the world to learn and use it more frequently. While this has undoubtedly helped to facilitate international cooperation and understanding, it has also resulted in a decline in the use of other languages. As people prioritize learning English, lesser-known languages and dialects may become less prevalent.

Another consequence of globalization is the homogenization of language and culture. As multinational corporations expand their reach into new markets, they often impose their own cultural norms and values, which can inadvertently lead to the erosion of local languages and customs.
