On the other hand, others maintain that intolerance and discrimination against certain groups are still prevalent in today's world. This essay will examine both perspectives and provide evidence to support the conclusion that society is indeed becoming more tolerant of diversity.

One of the primary reasons for increased tolerance is the growing awareness and acceptance of different cultures, ethnicities, and lifestyles. Globalization has played a significant role in this process as it has exposed people to new ideas and ways of life. As a result, individuals have become more open-minded and understanding towards those who are different from them. Moreover, advancements in technology, such as social media platforms and the internet, have facilitated communication and collaboration among diverse groups, fostering mutual respect and understanding.

Furthermore, governments around the world have implemented policies that promote diversity and inclusion. Anti-discrimination laws have been established to ensure equal rights for all citizens regardless of their race, religion, or sexual orientation. These legislative measures not only protect minority groups but also send a strong message that discrimination is unacceptable in society.

Despite these positive changes, it cannot be denied that there are still instances of intolerance and discrimination against diverse groups. Additionally, hate crimes targeting minority groups have continued to occur in various parts of the world, indicating that there is still room for improvement when it comes to tolerance and acceptance.

Factors such as globalization, technological advancements, and progressive government policies have contributed significantly to fostering a more inclusive and accepting society.
