One significant factor contributing to the growing concern about income inequality is the widening gap between the rich and the poor. According to a report by Oxfam International, the wealth of the richest 1% has increased exponentially in recent years, while the bottom 50% have seen their share of global income decline. This disparity has led to an increasing number of people living in poverty, struggling to make ends meet and access basic necessities such as food, shelter, and healthcare. As a result, more and more people are becoming aware of this issue and demanding action from governments and organizations to address it.

Another reason for the rising concern about income inequality is the rise in social unrest caused by the unequal distribution of wealth.
