On one hand, supporters of individual actions argue that lifestyle changes can lead to a significant reduction in carbon emissions. For example, reducing energy consumption through turning off lights when not in use, using public transportation instead of private vehicles, and adopting plant-based diets all contribute to lowering an individual's carbon footprint. However, while these actions may help reduce one's personal impact on the environment, they are unlikely to bring about substantial change on a global scale.

On the other hand, green technology offers a more comprehensive solution to climate change. Innovations such as renewable energy sources, energy-efficient appliances, and electric vehicles have the potential to transform entire industries and economies, thereby reducing overall carbon emissions. Furthermore, these advancements can lead to long-lasting environmental benefits and create new employment opportunities in green sectors.
