On one hand, the process of cultural globalization has led to a loss of linguistic diversity. As English becomes the dominant language in various fields such as science, technology, and business, indigenous languages are increasingly marginalized. This results in a decline in the number of speakers, leading to the gradual extinction of these languages. Moreover, the mass media's predominant use of English often causes indigenous people to shift towards this language, further eroding their linguistic heritage.

On the other hand, cultural globalization can also contribute to the revitalization of indigenous languages. The worldwide exchange of ideas and knowledge has led to a growing interest in preserving linguistic diversity. Organizations and governments are now implementing measures to protect and promote indigenous languages, such as offering language courses and funding research. Additionally, technology has played a significant role in this effort. In conclusion, cultural globalization presents both challenges and opportunities for indigenous languages.
