In this essay, I will explore the factors contributing to this shift in societal opinion and assess whether society is becoming more or less supportive of government intervention.

One of the primary reasons for increased support for government intervention is the recognition of social and environmental issues that require collective action. For example, climate change, income inequality, and public health crises have led many people to advocate for stronger regulations and policies to address these problems. Governments are seen as having a responsibility to protect their citizens and create an environment where everyone can thrive.

On the other hand, there is also a growing belief in the importance of individual freedom and market-driven solutions.
