On the other hand, excessive rainfall or flooding can wash away topsoil, destroy crops, and contaminate water sources with excess nutrients from fertilizers, leading to algal blooms that deplete oxygen levels in the water, negatively affecting aquatic life and fisheries.

Additionally, rising global temperatures have led to shifts in agricultural zones, making it more challenging for farmers to adapt their practices to these new conditions.
