On one hand, technology has facilitated the growth of social mobility by providing opportunities that were previously unattainable. For instance, the internet has democratized access to information, enabling anyone with a device and an internet connection to learn new skills and knowledge. Moreover, online platforms have created new avenues for entrepreneurship and freelance work, which allow individuals from diverse backgrounds to create their own path and climb the social ladder. Furthermore, technology has revolutionized education by making it more accessible and flexible, with online courses and degree programs available at a fraction of traditional costs. This enables people from lower socioeconomic backgrounds to acquire higher education, thus increasing their chances of upward mobility.

On the other hand, there are valid concerns that technology may be inadvertently exacerbating social inequality.
