Furthermore, fossil fuels have played a pivotal role in driving economic growth and improving living standards, particularly in the past two centuries.

On the other hand, the environmental consequences of relying on fossil fuels cannot be overlooked. The combustion of these resources releases greenhouse gases, which contribute to global warming and climate change. These impacts threaten the planet's biodiversity, disrupt ecosystems, and pose risks to human health.
