This can lead to increased skills and qualifications, which in turn can improve their employability and earning potential (Bourdieu, 1986). For example, a community-based organization may offer workshops on financial literacy or entrepreneurship, providing participants with the knowledge and skills necessary to escape the cycle of poverty.

Secondly, social capital can also contribute to poverty reduction by fostering a sense of belonging and collective identity within communities.
