On the one hand, habitat restoration can be considered an effective strategy for biodiversity conservation because it focuses on rehabilitating damaged ecosystems. When a natural environment is restored to its former state or improved upon, it creates suitable habitats for various species to live in. For example, the reintroduction of native plant species and the removal of invasive species can help recreate an ideal living condition for native wildlife. As a result, this approach has been successful in several cases where previously threatened species have made a remarkable recovery, such as the California condor.

However, it is crucial to recognize that habitat restoration alone cannot address all the factors contributing to biodiversity loss. Species are affected not only by changes in their physical environment but also by human activities such as overexploitation, pollution, and climate change.
