Firstly, deforestation leads to habitat loss, which is a major factor in the decline of biodiversity. The destruction of natural habitats forces species to either adapt to new environments or face extinction. This process ultimately disrupts the delicate balance within ecosystems, leading to a domino effect of consequences for other flora and fauna.
