In this essay, I will discuss the reasons behind both sides of the argument and provide my own perspective on this matter.

On one hand, making cultural institutions free to the public can be seen as a social equity issue. When these institutions are accessible for free, it allows everyone, regardless of their socio-economic background, to enjoy and appreciate art, history, and culture. This can help in fostering a sense of national pride, promoting tolerance, and creating a shared understanding among diverse groups of people. Additionally, free access can encourage more visitors, leading to increased tourism revenue for the country.

On the other hand, charging admission fees is necessary for the financial sustainability of these institutions.
