In the past few decades, many nations have prioritized economic growth over environmental protection. This has resulted in the depletion of natural resources, air and water pollution, and loss of biodiversity. For example, rapid industrialization and urbanization in China and India have led to a significant increase in carbon emissions and deforestation, causing a detrimental impact on the environment. These nations should focus on implementing sustainable practices that promote economic growth without harming the environment, such as investing in renewable energy sources like solar and wind power, promoting green technology, and encouraging eco-friendly public transportation.

On the other hand, environmental protection is equally important for the overall health and well-being of the population. For instance, the reduction of air pollution can lead to a significant decrease in respiratory illnesses and premature deaths. Governments should enforce strict regulations on industries that emit harmful pollutants, promote recycling programs, and establish protected natural reserves.
