Furthermore, aging populations across the globe necessitate more government assistance in the form of healthcare and pension systems.

On the other hand, some argue that the role of government in providing assistance has decreased in recent years. Advocates for this viewpoint point out that neoliberal policies have led to a reduction in welfare programs, pushing citizens towards self-reliance. Moreover, the rise of privatization and deregulation in various sectors has contributed to less reliance on government assistance as individuals are encouraged to rely on market mechanisms instead.

Taking these factors into account, it can be concluded that society is becoming more reliant on government assistance due to factors such as economic instability, aging populations, and the decline of welfare programs.
