On one hand, it can be argued that society has become more tolerant in recent times. This can be seen in the increasing number of multicultural events and festivals held around the world, as well as the growing acceptance of different sexual orientations and gender identities. The increase in hate crimes and incidents of racism and discrimination against minority groups are clear indicators that intolerance still exists in many societies today. Furthermore, some argue that the rise of political correctness has created an environment where people are afraid to express their true opinions or beliefs for fear of being labeled as intolerant or offensive.

In conclusion, it is difficult to definitively say whether society is becoming more or less tolerant of diversity. While there have been notable advancements in terms of acceptance and understanding, there are also clear signs that intolerance and discrimination persist. Ultimately, the level of tolerance in a society depends on its values and priorities, and it will take concerted efforts from all members of society to create an environment where everyone feels respected and valued.
