Sample Answer:
I remember a time when I had to confront a difficult social problem during an international exchange program. As part of the program, our group of students was invited to a local family's home for dinner. However, there were some cultural misunderstandings that made the situation quite tense.

The problem started when we arrived at the family's house and saw that they had prepared dishes with meat, which went against the dietary preferences of some members in our group who were vegetarian. The host family was not aware of this and felt offended when we explained the situation to them.

To resolve the issue, I took the initiative to talk to both parties and explained the importance of respecting each other's beliefs and customs. We decided to have separate dishes prepared for the vegetarians in our group and made sure that everyone understood the reasons behind it.

The outcome was a learning experience for all of us. The host family learned about the dietary preferences of some cultures, and we became more sensitive to their customs as well. This incident helped us build better relationships with each other and deepened our understanding of different cultures.
