Describe a time when you had to confront a difficult technological problem. You should say:
- what the problem was
- where you were when it happened
- how you solved the problem
And explain why this experience left an impression on you.
Sample Answer:
I remember one time when I was working on a project for my college's computer science club, and we had to create a website with a complex interactive feature. The problem we faced was that the feature was not functioning as it should, and we couldn’t figure out why. This happened during a late-night session in our university's computer lab. We tried troubleshooting the issue by checking the code and the server settings, but nothing seemed to work. Eventually, we realized that the problem lay with one of the plug-ins we were using. Once we identified the source of the problem, we removed the plug-in and rewrote the feature's functionality from scratch. This experience left a significant impression on me because it taught me the importance of diligence in solving problems, as well as the value of teamwork and communication within a group.
