Part 2: Cue Card

Title: A Time When You Had to Think Creatively to Solve a Problem

Describe a situation where you had to use your creativity to solve a problem. You should say:

- what the problem was
- how you came up with the solution
- what happened as a result

And explain why thinking creatively was important in this situation.

Part 3: Discussion Topics

1. How important is creativity in today's world, especially in education and work settings? What are some ways to develop or enhance creativity skills?
2. In what other situations might a person need to think creatively to solve problems, apart from the one you described in

Part 2? Can you give an example from your own experience or from something you have read about or seen on television/in a movie?
3. Some people believe that creativity is a natural talent that cannot be taught, while others feel that it can be developed with practice and effort. What are your thoughts on this matter? Have you ever had any personal experiences where you felt your creativity was either limited or expanded due to circumstances beyond your control?
4. What role does technology play in today's creative process, both for individuals as well as organizations or businesses? How has it changed the way people think creatively over the past few years or decades?
5. There is a saying that "necessity is the mother of invention." Do you agree with this statement? Can you think of any examples from your own life where this principle was applied successfully?
