Title: A difficult interpersonal conflict
Describe a time when you had to overcome a difficult interpersonal conflict. You should say:
- Where and when this happened
- Who was involved
- What the problem was
- How it affected people or things around you
- What you did to overcome the conflict
- Whether you think you were successful in resolving the situation
And explain why it was important for you to resolve the situation.
Part 3:
1. How do different cultures view and handle interpersonal conflicts? Can you give some examples from your own experience or what you've heard from others?
2. In what situations might an interpersonal conflict be more challenging to overcome than in others, and why?
3. What qualities should a person have to effectively manage interpersonal conflicts with others?
4. How can communication skills help in resolving interpersonal conflicts? Can you give some examples from your own experience or observations?
5. Some people prefer to avoid confrontation when dealing with interpersonal conflicts. What are the pros and cons of this approach, and which one do you think is generally more effective? Why?
