Part 2 (Cue Card):
Title: Describe a time when you had to confront a difficult choice.
In this part of the test, you will be given a topic. You will have one minute to prepare your response, and then you will speak about it for up to two minutes. Here is the cue card: "Describe a time when you had to confront a difficult choice."
When you begin speaking, make sure to introduce the situation, explain the choices you had available, describe the process of making the decision, and conclude by explaining why you chose that particular path. It's important to provide enough context so that the listener can understand the scenario and your thought process.
For example:
"Recently, I had to confront a difficult choice regarding my career. I was offered two job opportunities – one in a multinational corporation with a high salary but demanding work environment, and another in a smaller startup with lower pay but flexible working hours and the opportunity to grow with the company.
After considering both options, I decided to accept the offer from the startup. This choice allowed me to gain more experience in different areas of the business, and also offered a better work-life balance which was essential for my well-being.
In this situation, I had to evaluate the pros and cons of each option, weighing up financial security against long-term career growth. Ultimately, I chose the path that aligned more closely with my personal values and goals."

4. How has technology affected the way people make choices in their daily lives?
5. What kind of support systems can help individuals during difficult decision-making processes?
Remember that it is important to provide reasons and examples to support your views, and to engage with the ideas presented by the examiner.
