Part 1: Introduction and General Topics

9. What kind of music, if any, do you enjoy listening to, and why have you chosen this particular genre/artist/song?
10. How would you describe your ideal vacation or holiday destination, and what activities would be most important for you there?

Part 2: Cue Card Topic - Describe a time when you had to use your problem-solving skills.

In this part of the test, you will have one minute to prepare a short talk. The topic is described above. You should try to include the following elements in your response:

1. What was the situation or problem you faced?
2. How did you come up with a solution to the problem?
3. What steps did you take to implement the solution, and what challenges did you face during this process?
4. Did the solution you came up with work effectively, and if not, why not?
5. What did you learn from this experience, and how has it affected your approach to problem-solving in the future?

Part 3: Two-way Discussion

In this part of the test, you will have about four minutes to discuss a number of questions related to the topic you described in
Part 2. The examiner may ask you some follow-up questions or ask you to explain and elaborate on certain aspects of your story. Here are some example questions that may be asked:

1. How common is it for people in your country/culture to face such problems, and how do they usually deal with them?
2. In what situations do you think problem-solving skills are most important or beneficial?
3. Are there any specific qualities that make someone a good problem solver, and can these qualities be taught or developed over time?
4. How has technology affected the way people solve problems in your country/culture compared to past generations?
5. In your opinion, are there any significant differences between how men and women approach problem-solving, and if so, why might this be the case?
6. What role do teamwork and communication play in successfully solving problems, especially in a work or study environment, and can you provide examples from your own experience to illustrate this point?
7. How important is creativity and innovation when it comes to problem-solving, and can you think of any creative solutions that have been effective in addressing a particular challenge in the past?
8. What do you believe are some effective strategies for managing stress and anxiety when faced with difficult or challenging situations, especially those involving problem-solving?
