Part 2 (Cue Card):
Title: A Time When You Overcame a Fear
In this part of the test, you will be given a topic, and you have one minute to think about what you're going to say. The following questions are related to the topic you just received:
1. What is a fear that you had at some point in your life, and how did it affect you or your daily life?
2. How did you overcome this fear? Was there any particular event or action that played a significant role in overcoming it?
3. Describe the moment when you finally faced this fear head-on. How did it feel to conquer it?
4. What impact has overcoming this fear had on your life since then? Have there been any unexpected benefits or changes because of it?
5. Can you think of any advice you would give to someone who is struggling with a similar fear, based on your experience?
Part 3:
1. In what ways have advancements in technology affected the way we deal with our fears and phobias? Do you think they are generally helpful or harmful? Why?
2. How do different cultures approach dealing with fear and phobia? Are there any similarities or differences that you can identify between your culture and another culture of your choice?
3. Some people believe that facing our fears head-on is the best way to overcome them, while others suggest avoiding them altogether. What are your thoughts on this debate? Give reasons for your opinion.
4. How important do you think it is to have support from friends and family when overcoming a fear or phobia? Share your personal experience if applicable.
5. In what ways can we help others who are struggling with fear or phobias, according to you? What roles should different people like psychologists, educators, and community members play in assisting those individuals?
