In this part of the test, you will have one minute to prepare and two minutes to speak about a tradition in your culture. You should try to include the following elements in your response:
- Introduction of the tradition and its significance in your culture
- Explanation of the traditions and customs associated with it
- Personal experiences or observations related to this tradition
- Your opinion on whether this tradition is important or relevant in modern times
For example, if you were discussing the tradition of "Lunar New Year" in Chinese culture, your response might look like:
"In China, we have a significant tradition called Lunar New Year, also known as Spring Festival. This festival marks the beginning of a new year in the lunar calendar and is celebrated with various customs such as cleaning one's home to sweep away bad luck, giving red envelopes with money to children, and preparing special meals with family. Personally, I have always enjoyed the atmosphere of happiness and unity during this time. However, I believe that some aspects of this tradition may not be as relevant in modern times due to the influence of Western culture. Nevertheless, it's a significant cultural event that brings families together and strengthens relationships."
